The room was beautifully decorated and functional with a divided bath, check-in was efficient, and the location was marvelous by the river, castle, and charming cafes nearby.

The location of the hotel was excellent and each staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Deserves to be more that a 3* Hotel - is what all hotels should strive to become.
No - everything was perfect. I found the layout of the rooms and bathroom to be unusual but in a quirky way not a dislike at all.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, large flat screen tv, courtesy tray with kettle, very very comfortable large bed and fab walk in shower, all in the centre of the town with parking opposite and plenty of restaurants very close by

This hotel is right in the centre of town and near all the shops, bars and restaurants. It is opposite what will be a beautiful garden area covering an underground car park and adjacent to a huge pedestrianised area surrounded by old streets and buildings. It makes an ideal overnight or weekend stop.
The area is noisy at night so keep your windows closed. The double glazing is excellent so with your window closed - you will sleep soundly!

The room at Best Western Hotel De La Breche was really cozy and comfortable, with a modern decor that I loved. The bed was so soft and the sheets were like heaven! The free WiFi and laptop-compatible safe were really convenient for me as a tech-savvy traveler. Plus, the flat-screen TV with satellite channels was a nice touch.
I personally didn't enjoy the layout of the bathroom. Having the toilet in a small closet and the sink and shower in a separate room on the far side of the bed was a bit inconvenient for me.

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Dining facilities are basic - fine for breakfast though. Niort is not a great town though - OK as a stop-over but not somewhere you would want to visit.

Excellent location. Very comfortable room and lovely decor. Apart from my comments below I had a lovely stay.
When i booked, my confirmation said I had paid in full ( apart from 0.75 euros city tax per night) When I went to check out they said I had only paid for 2 nights and I needed to pay another 115 euros. The price quoted for the 3 nights, single room was 236 and they wanted me to pay 251. It was very awkward as I had been informed by Booked.net I had paid in full. Also they seemed to think I had booked a double room as they charged me 2 x 0.75 per night city tax. I had asked for a room with a bath, but it turned out they had upgraded me to a more expensive room without informing me it would cost more. So much confusion. All in all a very unsatisfactory booking and not a very pleasant end to my visit to see my son who is living in Niort. In the end they repaid me 11 euros.

Stayed at Best Western in an excellent location for business. the staff were fantastic, with a good level of English and knowledge of local restaurants. the hotel was clean, with nice rooms. Underground parking was available at subsidised rates. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Cons: Nothing 🚫.
